Born in 1962, Mario Laureta hailed from a small farm in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. He graduated with BSC in Aeronautical Engineering from PATS University (formerly Philippine Air Transport and Training Services school of Aeronautics) as a scholar. His elementary and high schooling was in Uddiawan where he was awarded with honors and several accolades.

Mario started his career with the US Air Force and attended Basic Military Training School (BMTS) at Lackland AFB, Texas in May 1987. Upon successful completion of BMTS as member of an Honor Flight, he moved to Chanute AFB and began the Aerospace Ground Support Equipment (AGE) course where he served as a class leader and graduated in the top 2% of the entire batch. He was vested the highest honor for educational excellence. His other military awards included medals for Air Force Good Conduct, Achievement and Commendation.

As a Non-Commission Officer; Mario served in the US Air Force as Supervisor, Combat AGE Team manager, Flight Leader, War Reserve Equipment manager, and Training manager.

Mario relocated to Southern California in 2003 with his lovely wife and three kids. He is set to retire 3-4 years from now and wishes to move back to the Philippines. With his expertise in personnel management and training he could be one of the OFI Bank’s leaders who can lend a hand to the personnel and training department and with his vast network and overseas contacts will continuously bring in new members to the OFI Bank group.
